UT Announces Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity; Program Begins This Fall

The University of Tampa has announced it will begin offering a master’s degree in cybersecurity to prepare individuals to become proficient in ensuring the confidentiality, availability and integrity of data, in preserving and restoring systems, and in developing risk management skills.

Starting in Fall 2017, the M.S. in Cybersecurity, offered by the Sykes College of Business, will help students launch or advance a career in the dynamic and growing cybersecurity industry.

UT Partners With Abu Dhabi University to Offer Dual Global Business Degrees

The University of Tampa and Abu Dhabi University have partnered to offer a dual degree MBA/M.S. in global business program for students who live in the United Arab Emirates.

Students in the program will attend classes in the UAE and in The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business and will earn both an executive master's in business administration through Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and a Master of Science in global business from The University of Tampa (UT).

Grad Student, Prof Research Entrepreneurship in Farming and Farm-to-Table Trend

While there has been much talk about the farm-to-table trend, UT’s Heather O’Connor MBA ’17 and Professor Bella Galperin found a niche with little light: the movement’s potential for entrepreneurs.

“This project is on sustainable farming, but also farming from an entrepreneurial perspective,” said Galperin, senior associate director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership.

Grad Students Hope to Spare Students Years in Student Loan Debt

Ryan Deitrich ’15, M.S. in Entrepreneurship ’17 lives on a sailboat docked in St. Petersburg. Last year he was working as a financial advisor for USAA and was saving his money to spend a year in the Caribbean on his floating home.

UT Student Accepted to Prestigious National Incubator for Entrepreneurs

Ryan Deitrich, a University of Tampa student, was recently accepted as one of 17 students nationwide to participate in the 2017 Future Founders Fellowship cohort.

The Future Founders Fellowship is a selective year-long cohort that accelerates the development of the top student entrepreneurs in the nation. Deitrich’s acceptance marks the second time a UT student has been selected for the program, with Matthew Sarli ’16 serving in the 2016 cohort. Fellows benefit from mentoring, entrepreneurship retreats, a peer community and volunteer opportunities through Future Founders programs.
