The University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery will open a new exhibition on Aug. 30 showcasing just a glimpse into the beautifully diverse collection of local collector and arts philanthropist, Stanton Storer.

Help raise funds for educational programs and exhibitions at The University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery by attending the second annual Art on the Boulevard cocktail party and fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 8, from 7–9 p.m.

This year’s event includes a chance drawing ($5 per chance) to win unique special-edition prints by renowned local and international contemporary artists, such as Sedrick Huckaby, Mickett/Stackhouse, Pedro Pablo Oliva, Larry Poons and Maxwell Taylor.

From Jan. 23–Feb. 22, UT’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery will showcase Modernism Reimagined: Joe Testa-Secca in Full Color, highlighting the art of renowned local artist Joe Testa-Secca. There will be an opening reception on Friday, Jan. 25, from 7–9 p.m., and a closing reception on Friday, Feb. 22, from 7–9 p.m.

Drawing from the University’s permanent art collection, numerous local private collections and the artist’s personal studio collection, this monographic show will showcase the scope and evolution of Testa-Secca’s work, saluting both his artistic career and the invaluable local art supporters who have collected his work over the decades.

From March 23-April 4, The University of Tampa's Scarfone Hartley Gallery will host an exhibition of the 2018 Regional Scholastic Art and Writing Award Recipients in partnership with UT's College of Arts and Letters, Hillsborough County Public Schools and the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

Presented by the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, the 95th Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the country's longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program for creative students in grades 7-12.
