The Department of Biology faculty at The University of Tampa is deeply engaged in scientific research in many areas, including molecular genetics; microbiology; physiology; biomechanics; evolution; animal behavior; terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecology; and landscape ecology. This provides many opportunities for students to actively engage in scientific research as volunteers, for course credit and even as paid employees.
