Lauren Logsdon's interest is in the interactions between bacteria and their hosts, and how these lead to disease in some cases and a commensal relationship in others.
Logsdon has studied the host pathogen relationship of the toxin producing pathogens, Yersinia pseudotuberculosis and Streptococcus pyogenes. Her interest is in identifying which toxins are involved in each step of infection and how each affects different cell types at different stages of infection.
