2024-2025 Housing Selection Information
This process is for Spring 2024 on-campus residential students (including those studying abroad or interning through UT). Spring students living off-campus are not eligible to participate in this process and must complete a No Guarantee Waiting List after Feb. 9 to request Fall 2024/Spring 2025 housing.

All continuing students who wish to live on campus for 2024-2025 must complete these steps:
- Step 1: COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION
Dec. 1, 2023 - Feb. 9, 2024, at 12 p.m.
Eligible students will have access to the application in Residence by Symplicity. Completed applications must be submitted by noon on Feb. 9, 2024. Form roommate groups of any size throughout the process.
- Step 2: REVIEW YOUR SELECTION TIME
Feb. 16 after 2 p.m.
On Feb. 16, selection times will be sent to student email accounts. Students will be randomly assigned a selection time; with priority given in order based on the number of semesters students have lived on campus. Students with fewer semesters on campus will have earlier selection times than those who have had several semesters on campus. You may select a space either by yourself or with other students. If you choose to join a group, your group selection time will be the median best (middle best number) of its members. Adding or removing members may impact the group selection time.
- Step 3: SELECT YOUR SPACE
Feb. 20 – 23
Select your space in Residence by Symplicity at your assigned selection time. Spaces will be available in Barrymore Hotel, Brevard, Jenkins, Palm, Straz and Urso. The process will continue until all spaces are selected, or until the last assigned selection time - whichever comes first.
- Step 3: OFF-CAMPUS FAIR
Feb. 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Vaughn Lobby
We encourage you to explore off-campus housing options through our off-campus fair. Local apartment complex representatives will be in attendance to go over off-campus options with you for the Fall 2024—Spring 2025 school year.
- Step 4: CANCELLATION AND REGISTRATION DEADLINE
June 1, 2024
Deadline to cancel: Cancellation requests are in Residence by Symplicity.
Deadline to register for classes full-time: You must be a full-time student to keep your room on campus.
- Step 5: CONTINUING STUDENT CHECK-IN
Aug. 23-25, 2024
Residence Halls open for continuing students primarily on Friday, Aug. 23, 2024. Specific scheduled move-in days/times for each building will be provided at a later date. Deadline to arrive, check in and claim your room key is Aug. 28. Your space will not be held beyond Aug. 29 without prior written notice providing your anticipated date of arrival.
