An Evening of Experimental Dance

The University of Tampa Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance is presenting an evening of experimental dance on Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery.

The event will be held in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery.

The event is free and open to the public. It’s directed by Amanda Sieradzki, part-time dance faculty. This year’s event includes contributions from Bradford Blackburn, chair of the Department of Music, and the MIX Lab and Interactive Arts Ensembles. The ensembles’ live music will merge with dance and visual art from the current exhibition, “Unbound: Highlights from the Stanton Storer Collection.”

There will be a pre-show from 7:30-8 p.m. hosted by Michael Crotty, assistant professor of dance. The pre-show features improvisatory music and movement lead by Crotty’s improvisation class. The full program will begin at 8 p.m. and features works by current UT students, alumni and faculty.

For more information, contact Amanda Sieradzki at asieradzki@ut.edu or (813) 253-3333.
