Limited Music scholarships are available to talented majors and non-majors recommended by the music faculty. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years (8 semesters). Music scholarships may be combined with other forms of financial aid, with some exceptions (for more information on the exceptions, see section in the UTampa catalog on "Excessive Awards"). Qualifications:

  • New entering students (fall term entry only)
  • Must complete a live audition either on campus or through a live Zoom prior to admission

Music scholarships are prioritized by declared major, skill level and instrument/voice type, in the following preferential order:

  1. Bachelor of Music in Music Education 
  2. Bachelor of Music in Performance 
  3. Bachelor of Arts in Music 

Non-music majors and minors may receive partial scholarship consideration based on the needs of the Department of Music. Visit the Financial Aid Renewal page for details on maintaining your Music Scholarship.
