The University of Tampa’s Fall 2018 Honors Program Symposia series will begin on Monday, Sept. 10, with Michael Coon, UT assistant professor of economics. His talk, "Local Immigration Enforcement and Public Safety," will begin at 4 p.m. in the Trustees Boardroom in the Vaughn Center and is free and open to the public. Coon’s research focuses on the economics of immigration, international economics and economic development. In addition to Coon, speakers in the series include Jennifer L. Burton, UT assistant professor of marketing; Jeffery Fasick, UT assistant professor of biology; John Capouya, UT associate professor of journalism; Lorie Fridell, professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of South Florida; Alisha Menzies, UT assistant professor of communication; and Saul Cornell, a leading authority on early American constitutional thought and the Second Amendment.
