The housing deadlines for new students are May 1 for fall and Oct. 1 for spring.
An application is available online at SpartanWeb, under the applicant tab. Click new student housing on the left.
A $500 admissions deposit is required prior to submitting a housing application. Receipt of application will be acknowledged.
Please be sure to answer all application questions. The Office of Residence Life makes every effort to match lifestyle preferences when making room assignments.
All new students are encouraged to contact their roommate(s) before arriving on campus. This gives an early opportunity to become acquainted and to discuss room arrangements.
New student assignments are made based on completed housing application dates. Room assignments are sent in mid-July for the fall semester and the third week of December for the spring semester. After assignments are made, students will not be able to make changes until the open room change period after the third week of the semester.
Students with special medical needs must submit documentation to Residence Life from a physician before the housing deadline or May 1 for fall and Oct. 1 for spring. Documents will be reviewed by a health consultant. If documentation is received after the deadline, students may not be reassigned until open room change.
Students interested in being roommates must mutually request each other on their housing applications. The University reserves the right to change or cancel a room assignment if it is found to be in the best interest of the student or the University.
The University of Tampa does not discriminate based on sex, race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation and/or any handicap in the assignment of students to residence hall facilities.
