A candlelight vigil memorializing UT student Erik Nicoletti, who was
fatally injured in a hit and run accident on Saturday morning, was held
on Monday, Nov. 23 at 8:30 p.m. The vigil was in the Vaughn Center
courtyard at The University of Tampa.
Nicoletti, a junior
communication major from Somers, NY, was injured when he and a non-UT
student companion, Cree Alisha Riley, who was also critically injured,
were walking in the vicinity of the intersection of North Boulevard and
West Kennedy Blvd.
Nicoletti was pronounced dead last night, according to family members.
The Tampa Police Department has arrested and charged an individual believed to be responsible for the accident.
