UT Will Present The Many Faces of Love Feb. 16
The Many Faces of Love
On Sunday, Feb. 16, The University of Tampa will present The Many Faces of Love, which will feature love songs made popular by artists such as Nat “King” Cole, Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr. The concert begins at 5 p.m. in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values and is free and open to the public.
Performing at the concert is Christopher Holloway, baritone and adjunct professor of voice, accompanied by Tara Swartzbaugh, pianist and adjunct professor of piano. The program will include a variety of popular music that shows the many faces of love, including selections from musical theatre like “Some Enchanted Evening,” “If Ever I Would Leave You” and “Luck Be a Lady,” among others.
Holloway has performed with the Houston Grand Opera, Opera Tampa, Opera Naples, Orlando Opera, Florida Opera Theatre, Utah Festival Opera, Opera in the Heights, Lyric Opera of Los Angeles, Brevard Music Center and Operafestival di Roma. His repertoire is vast and includes nearly 50 roles in opera and musical theatre.
Swartzbaugh serves as musical director for UT’s Department of Speech, Theatre and Dance, director of UT’s Broadway-pop group Opus, director of music and chancel choir at United Community Church in Sun City Center and the accompanist for the H.B. Plant High School Chancel Choir.
