The University of Tampa has entered into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund full tuition expenses for all students (undergraduate and graduate, full-time or part-time) who qualify for the VA’s new Yellow Ribbon Program.
UT will waive out-of-pocket tuition charges (those not covered by VA benefits or other state and federal financial gift aid programs) for Yellow Ribbon Program eligible students.
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program is a new veteran’s benefit program effective Aug. 1 or for the 2009-10 academic year. It is an enhancement to the Post 9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008.
“We’re pleased to be able to provide the best educational opportunities possible for service members and veterans,” said Dennis Nostrand, UT vice president for enrollment.
