UT to Welcome “Superstar Pianist” Fred Moyer for Recital Feb. 20
On Saturday, Feb. 20, pianist Frederick Moyer — hailed by The New York Times as “first-class” and The Milwaukee Journal as “a superstar pianist” — will give a piano recital at The University of Tampa. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Plant Hall’s Grand Salon and is free and open to the public.
The program for the performance will include Mozart’s Sonata in D Major, K. 576; Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18; and two improvisations of Oscar Peterson.
Moyer has been a full-time concert pianist for more than 30 years. Throughout his career he has performed in 43 countries, including at Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Sydney Opera House, Windsor Castle (U.K.), Carnegie Recital Hall, Tanglewood (MA) and the Kennedy Center. He has performed as a soloist with most of the major orchestras in the U.S. as well as many in Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Australia.
