UT to Host 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, March 5-13

The Scarfone/Hartley Gallery at The University of Tampa is proud to partner with the Hillsborough Education Foundation and Hillsborough County Public Schools to host the 2021 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, presented by Suncoast Credit Union.

The 2021 Hillsborough Region Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Exhibition will run from March 5-13, 2021 in the Scarfone/Hartley Gallery. The exhibition, featuring art and writing pieces by local middle and high school students, will be open to the public. This year, regional judges are giving out 247 art awards and 96 writing awards based on 1,500 student submissions.

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, established in 1923, is the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the United States and is the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers.

The gallery is located on campus at the R. K. Bailey Art Studios at 310 N. Blvd. The gallery will have special hours for this exhibition from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. There is no charge for admission.
