UT Recognized for Exemplary Strategies and Outcomes in Student Enrollment

The University of Tampa was named a winner of a 2009 Marketing and Recruitment Excellence Award by Noel-Levitz, a higher education consulting firm.

The awards recognize exemplary programs, services and strategies that have made an impact on campus student enrollment. UT’s current enrollment is more than twice the enrollment ten years ago, and this fall’s entering class will be its largest ever.

UT, along with Xavier University and Concordia University, was recognized at the annual National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention, July 21-23 in San Antonio, TX. UT received the award in front of an audience of 1,200 enrollment professionals representing institutions from all over the country.

Institutions were nominated for the awards by Noel-Levitz consultants and were selected based on several factors including institutional outcomes and execution of strategies that promote student awareness, inquiry, application, admission, deposit and enrollment.

“Recruiting the best students that will gain the most from an exceptional institution is daunting in today’s marketing arena,” said Dennis Nostrand, UT’s vice president for enrollment. “The Enrollment Management Office and the entire university overcame many new challenges but in the end the message that UT offers an excellent education and experience was heard loud and clear by a record number of applicants resulting in over ten straight years of record enrollment growth.”
