UT Named a Military Friendly School, Putting it in Top 15 Percent of Colleges

The University of Tampa has been named by G.I. Jobs magazine as a Military Friendly School for 2010 — a designation that ranks UT in the top 15 percent of all colleges and universities nationwide. The rankings are based on the policies, efforts and results used to recruit and retain military and veteran students. Rich McCormack, publisher of G.I. Jobs, said the rankings were based on years of research and the compiling of survey results and other data, as well as UT’s “commitment to educating our nation’s most deserving heroes.” UT offers exceptional opportunities to new cadets, Green-to-Gold enlistees and veterans — and their dependents — seeking career changes, says Dennis Nostrand, UT’s vice president for enrollment.
