UT Honors Program Grads Head to Postgraduate Success

Click here to view a video of UT Honors graduate Charlie Connally.The Honors Program at UT — one of the most prestigious programs for incoming UT freshmen — produces some of the most sought after University graduates.While on campus, Honors Program students can go beyond the classroom and regular course work to study one-on-one with faculty through enrichment tutorials, Honors Abroad classes, internships, research and classroom-to-community outreach. And after graduation, Honors Program participants continue to take advantage of opportunities in careers and higher learning.The Honors Program Class of 2009 graduated on Saturday, May 9. The following is a partial list of class members and their post-graduation plans.Robin Anglin will pursue a Ph.D. in ancient history at the University of South Florida. Christopher Brown was elected vice-chair of the Hillsborough County Democratic Party and will direct a new NGO, “Nexus Initiative.”Jeff Calin will attend the University of Florida and work toward his CPA certification. Mark Cice will teach at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia.
