Roberto Martinez ’05 has made the cut through several rose ceremonies,
landing in the final four on the sixth edition of the ABC reality show,
“The Bachelorette.”
In the episode that airs today, July 12,
bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky visits the hometowns of the four finalists,
bringing the cameras to Martinez’ roots in Tampa. The visit includes a
stop at The University of Tampa, where Martinez majored in international
business and was a right-handed pitcher for the baseball team. Today,
Martinez is an insurance agent living in Charleston, SC.
The
Tampa visit is just one of the adventures Martinez has experienced since
meeting Fedotowsky. In one episode, Martinez, 26, was among several
bachelors who visited Broadway’s “The Lion King.” Martinez was chosen to
perform with her in that night’s performance of the musical. On his
one-on-one date with Fedotowski, 25, Martinez took a helicopter ride
over Los Angeles and then braved a 100-foot tightrope walk between
buildings to get to their romantic dinner.
Listed on
ABC’s website, Martinez says for fun he likes to hang at the beach with a boat, guitar, dominos and good people.
