The University of Tampa’s John H. Sykes College of Business recently received reaccreditation of its undergraduate and master’s degree programs in business by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The reaccreditation, which occurs every six years, noted several strengths of the Sykes College of Business:
  • Student engagement with the community through the Center for Ethics, TECO Energy Center for Leadership, Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy and Florida Entrepreneur and Family Business Center.
  • Student engagement through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, the Graduate Leadership Development Program and the Strategic Analysis Program (SAP) — the capstone course for all undergraduate and MBA students and facilitated by the Naimoli Institute.
  • The commitment to instilling professionalism among students through the Professional Expectations Partnership (PEP).
  • Commitment of the faculty.
  • Pre-tenure review process for non-tenured faculty.
  • Allowing student input through the Student Advisory Council.

With the reaccreditation, the Sykes College of Business remains one of a select group of colleges in the Southeast accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by AACSB.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is an association of educational institutions, businesses, and other organizations devoted to the advancement of higher education in management education. It is also the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools and accounting programs worldwide.
