Trio of Executives in Technology, Media and Financial Services to Speak at Fellows Forum

The CEOs of BMC Software, Meredith Corp. and PNC Financial Services Group are slated to speak at The University of Tampa Fellows Forum Feb. 27 at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Ferguson Hall. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m., and the program will run from 8-9:30 a.m. Speakers include:

The CEOs of BMC Software, Meredith Corp. and PNC Financial Services Group are slated to speak at The University of Tampa Fellows Forum Feb. 27 at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts in Ferguson Hall. A continental breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m., and the program will run from 8-9:30 a.m.

Speakers include:

  • Robert E. Beauchamp, chairman and CEO, BMC Software. BMC Software is a recognized leader in business service management. Beauchamp joined the company in 1988, and was named CEO in 2001. He has led key business initiatives, including research and development, strategic marketing and corporate development. He also led BMC’s transformation from a mainframe tools vendor to a company that delivers the industry’s most strategic enterprise management and automation solutions.
  • Stephen M. Lacy, chairman and CEO, Meredith Corp. Meredith Corp. features multiple national brands – including Better Homes and Gardens, Parents and Fitness – along with location television stations in fast-growing markets. Lacy joined the company in 1988 and oversaw the expansion of its brand licensing activities. He conceived a strategy to greatly expand Meredith Xcelerated Marketing through the acquisition of online, mobile, word-of-mouth, social and database marketing capabilities.
  • James E. Rohr, chairman and CEO, PNC Financial Services Group. PNC provides deposit, lending, cash management and investment services to more than 5 million consumer and small business customers nationwide. Rohr joined the company in 1972, and has held various marketing and management responsibilities in corporate banking. He is also a member of the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve System.
The forum will be moderated by Stacie Schaible of WFLA News Channel 8.

Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at www.tampachamber.com. Proceeds from the event go toward the Board of Fellows Endowed Scholarship, which supports students in the Sykes College of Business.

Complimentary parking is available at the Poe Parking Garage (Ashley Drive entrance) between 6-8:30 a.m. the day of the event.

Since 1987, the Fellows Forum has been the annual flagship event for The University of Tampa Board of Fellows, bringing nationally-recognized executives to Tampa to share their business experiences. Last year’s forum attracted more than 1,000 attendees. This year’s presenting sponsor is Verizon, and Spartan sponsor is CLARIFIRE.
