In the tradition of carnival, The University of Tampa’s International
Fête on Friday, April 25, will offer students an opportunity to enjoy
globally inspired food, music, dancing, prizes and giveaways.
The
party will begin as the sun sets on the intramural field, around 7 p.m.
Participants will wear carnival masks and glow sticks will help guide
them through a selection of global appetizers. Entertainment will range
from Kumba dancers to Trinidadian Tassa drummers, with a line-up of
professional and student performers. UT students are encouraged to wear
traditional outfits that reflect their nationality and/or heritage.
The
International Fête is sponsored by Student Government and the
International Programs Office with the support of the Arab Student
Association, Caribbean Student Association, Diversity Fellowship, Greek
American Society, HOLA, Indian Cultural Association, International
Student Organization, Kapriza, Muslim Student Association, Sodexho, Team
Chaos, UT Diplomats and the Vaughn Center Association.
