Roberto Asks, ‘Will You Marry Me?’
UT alumnus Roberto Martinez ’05 got down on one knee and proposed to Ali
Fedotowsky last night on the ABC reality show, “The Bachelorette.”
She excitedly accepted, calling Martinez the man of her dreams and their romance a real-life fairy tale.
As of Tuesday morning, Martinez had updated his Facebook status to 'engaged' and linked it to Fedotowsky. His post this morning read, "Lucky to have found the woman of my dreams. I'm so blessed and so lucky."
Martinez, who majored in international business at UT and was a right-handed pitcher for the baseball team, is an insurance agent who was living in Charleston, SC. In the post-finale interview, Martinez said the two will be living in San Diego where he has relocated his business. They are talking about a 2011 wedding.
