PNC Concert Artist Series Begins with “Music for Organ and Orchestra”
The first concert of the 2013-2014 PNC Concert Artist Series in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.
The first concert of the 2013-2014 PNC Concert Artist Series in the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m.
Ryan Hebert, assistant professor of music, is soloist and Haig Mardirosian, dean of UT’s College of Arts and Letters, will conduct a chamber orchestra of strings and winds.
The program includes Arthur Foote’s Sugue in E Minor, George Frideric Händel’s Concerto in B-flat, Op. 4, No. 2, Richard Proulx’s Chant de lumière and Josef Rheinberger’s Concerto No. 1 in F, Op. 137.
The concert is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Doors will open 30 minutes before the performance. Parking is available on campus.
