Coca-Cola’s Chief Customer Officer to Speak at UT

 The senior vice president of The Coca Cola Company and chief customer and commercial officer will speak at The University of Tampa on Tuesday, Oct. 26.

Jerry S. Wilson’s presentation will be part of the Pierce Graduate Speaking Series and will be held at 4:45 p.m. in the Crescent Club on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center on the UT campus. The public is welcome to attend, but seating is limited.

Throughout his 22-year career with The Coca-Cola Company, Wilson has earned increasing levels of responsibility including customer leadership, strategic planning, brand management, strategic marketing and general management.

Prior to this role he was president of the Global McDonald’s Division, where he led business units based in Asia, Europe, Eurasia/Africa, Latin America, the U.S. and Canada. These units were responsible for the Coca-Cola alliance, strategy, operations, and performance in 118 countries and 31,000 restaurants, which served 56 million consumers daily.

Wilson is the co-author of “Managing Brand YOU, 7 Steps to Creating Your Most Successful Self” (AMACOM, 2008). He has also written several byline articles for BusinessWeek.com and contributed to articles on personal branding in many publications including Fortune magazine. He hosts an active website, jerryswilson.com, where he posts his personal insights into business, marketing and personal development.

Wilson earned his MBA in marketing from Mercer University and his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia.
