Business Innovation Expert to Speak at UT March 6

The University of Tampa will welcome Peter Skarzynski, managing partner and founder of ITC Business Group, on Wednesday, March 6, to speak on “Scaling Innovation: Lessons from Organizations Large and Small.”

The event will be held in the Vaughn Center Crescent Club. Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m., and the program will start at 8 a.m.

He is the lead author of Innovation to the Core, the first book to describe how large organizations can build and sustain a company-wide innovation capability that enables profitable growth.

A frequent corporate and conference speaker, he has written thought pieces for The Wall Street Journal, CEO Magazine and The Drucker Foundation. Before founding ITC, Skarzynski served as chairman and CEO and was founding director of Strategos. He also served as vice president in the strategy practice of Gemini Consulting and held several senior-level consulting roles in its predecessor, the MAC Group.

The event is part of the Sykes College of Business Entrepreneurship Center MainStreet Speaker Series and is sponsored by NorthStar Bank. Tickets are free for UT students, faculty and staff with a reservation; $15 for individuals; $100 for a table of eight (four seats go to sponsor students); and a corporate sponsorship is $500.
