BBVA Compass Names Boardroom in UT's John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center
BBVA Compass and The University of Tampa today announced the debut of the BBVA Compass Boardroom inside the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center on the top floor of the University's new eight-story Innovation and Collaboration Building. The naming is in honor of the bank’s recent gift to the university.

“BBVA Compass places a high priority on innovation as we strive to become the digital bank of the future,” said Kevin Shukur, Tampa market president for BBVA Compass. “Being part of the development of the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs through this gift aligns perfectly with that objective.”
The Lowth Entrepreneurship Center is a model entrepreneurship space designed to bring together students, educators and experienced entrepreneurs to generate, refine and develop entrepreneurial concepts and to launch new ventures.
The newly named BBVA Compass Boardroom is a centrally located space in the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center that seats 20 and offers sweeping views of campus, downtown and Tampa Bay. It is adorned with wood and stone features and equipped with multimedia capabilities. The boardroom will serve as a meeting space for a variety of events and activities with local, national and international leaders.
“The Lowth Entrepreneurship Center is such an important initiative for The University of Tampa, and we’re pleased BBVA Compass has decided to join us in our efforts to educate future entrepreneurs and spark continued entrepreneurial activity in Tampa Bay,” said UT President Ronald Vaughn.
