Assistant Professor Sumerau focuses on the intersections of sexualities, gender, religion, health and violence in society.
Professional and Community Activities
Sumerau is a two-time Lambda Literary Award Finalist and has been recognized and awarded by the American Sociological Association for their works to date. She is also the author of nine books, over 60 peer reviewed articles in academic journals, and numerous other works in edited volumes and other outlets.
