Career Specialties: Thomas Pittz conducts research at the nexus of strategy and entrepreneurship and is interested in exploring how firms build and perpetuate a culture of innovation. He maintains a particular focus on collaboration across market sectors where diverse knowledge structures can coalesce to produce novel solutions and systemic change.
Professional and Community Activities: After 15 years of work in industry, Pittz received his doctoral degree from New Mexico State University and has focused his teaching and research in the areas of strategy, entrepreneurship and project management. He has presented his work in various academic conferences including the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association and the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. He has published three book chapters and nine peer-reviewed journal articles in outlets such as Management Decision, the International Journal of Project Management and the Journal of Managerial Issues, to name a few.
