Career Specialties: Brandon McDannald is passionate about training future music educators who show a strong background in pedagogy and performance. Research interests include the incorporation of technology in the instrumental music classroom and creating modern editions of manuscript works from the 18th and 19th centuries.
Professional and Community Activities: McDannald has been an active performer and educator since 2004. He has performed with numerous community, university, semi-professional and professional ensembles during this time, also having the chance to solo with many of the groups. Previous ensemble memberships have included the Harmonium Brass Quintet, Show-Me Brass Band, Center Wind Quintet, Lone Star Wind Orchestra and UNT Wind Symphony. While in the UNT Wind Symphony, McDannald performed on nine different albums, including three volumes of the Teaching Music Through Performance Series.
