Courses Taught: Introduction to Corrections
Criminological Theory

Career Specialties: Carly Hilinski-Rosick's research interests include corrections and inmate behavior, victimology, particularly crimes against women, assessing the relationships between fear of crime and individual behaviors and attitudes, and crime on the college campus.

Professional and Community Activities: Carly Hilinski-Rosick is currently involved in research examining the predictors of inmate behavior. She is especially interested in inmate misconduct and the conditions which cause this behavior. Her other research focuses on victims and victimization, particularly rape and sexual assault on the college campus. Most recently, she examined rape and sexual assault reporting among students enrolled at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Her recent research has appeared in Crime and Delinquency, Criminal Justice Review, Journal of Criminal Justice Education, and Victims and Offenders.

Hilinski-Rosick is also actively involved with the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program. The Inside-Out Program brings college students and inmates together to study and learn behind prison walls. She established the first Inside-Out course at her previous university and hopes to explore the possibility of bringing Inside-Out to The University of Tampa.
