Kari Fowler specializes in complex analysis. She has presented papers at several national mathematics conferences and has published several articles on the interaction between coefficient conditions and solution conditions of complex differential equations in the unit disk. Fowler is also interested in both computerized tomography and global analysis. She has conducted research on predicting the performance of 3-D X-ray computerized tomography systems at Argonne National Lab in Argonne, IL, and research on the geometry of infinite-dimensional manifolds. Her current research involves meromorphic functions and differential geometry.
Fowler is the advisor for the Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics Honor Society, and she has served as advisor for the Mathematics Club as well as a Gateways advisor. She has also served as supervisor for the Lecture Series in Mathematics. Fowler is a member of the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America.
