The Center for Public Speaking’s mission is to enhance communication skills and offer support services at The University of Tampa. We provide one-to-one tutoring and small group workshops with peer tutors and experienced professionals.
Speaking Center services include:
- Brainstorming and Outlining
- Mock Interviews
- Delivery and Content
- Evaluation of Visual Aids
- Conference Preparation

What to bring to a session at the speaking center:
- The assignment description (grading rubric)
- Specific instructions from your professor
- Questions to ask the peer tutor or problems you want to discuss
Speech Contest:
The UT Center for Public Speaking hosts a speech contest every fall semester. The contest is open to all students.
Cash prizes are awarded.
