University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business was named this month to The Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools for 2027 report, recognizing UTampa’s on-campus MBA program and listing the University as one of the top 208 business schools.

Katie Nichter is a student in the 4+1 MBA program, pursuing an MBA while simultaneously completing her bachelor’s in international business and management.

“The academic rigor of the MBA program has positively shaped who I am both inside and outside the classroom,” said Nichter. “The coursework emphasizes real-world application, challenging us to think critically, solve complex business problems and apply what we learn to professional settings.”

Nichter said that while the new ideas and meaningful discussions are a highlight, the faculty and staff in the program make the greatest impact. “Their mentorship and support have encouraged me to pursue opportunities and strengthen my confidence as both a student and a young professional,” she said.

The Sykes College of Business offers both undergraduate and graduate coursework. Graduate students can pursue an MBA, as well as master’s of science degrees in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and cybersecurity. There are joint MS/MBA degrees, as well as part-time, full-time and executive MBA schedules, and an Executive Doctor of Business Administration degree.

Amy Brownlee, director of graduate business programs, said that being named to The Princeton Review’s report reflects the high-quality learning experience provided in the Sykes College of Business.

“Our MBA combines a rigorous, relevant curriculum with applied learning opportunities that prepares students to address complex business challenges and lead effectively in a rapidly changing environment,” said Brownlee.

Rob Franek, The Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief, said that for students considering earning an MBA, “we highly recommend these b-schools and salute them for their impressive programs.”

The Sykes College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
