Student Government offers all undergraduate students the opportunity to bring positive change to the University community. It also enables members of UT's diverse student community to have their opinions heard regarding campus policies, developing trends, or new ideas.

General Assembly meetings are held weekly and are open to all students interested in voicing opinions or sharing creative ideas. Additionally, Student Government officers have office hours to meet with other students.

Student Government elections are held in early spring, with first-year student elections held in early fall. A copy of the Student Government Constitution and By-Laws, available through InvolveUT, provides detailed information on eligibility for student officers and participation in government activities.
