Career Specialties

Jay O’Sullivan specializes in the study of evolution and ecology of mammals, particularly horses, primates and opossums. He earned a doctoral degree in vertebrate paleontology and a master’s in biological anthropology.

Professional and Community Activities

O'Sullivan is a member of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, American Society of Mammalogists and the Society for the Study of Mammalian Evolution.

He has participated in field work in Florida, Georgia, Arizona and Wyoming and has shared his knowledge of paleontology with groups at schools and museums.
