How can I apply for an Army ROTC scholarship?

Once you complete your junior year of high school, you can get a head start on your future by applying for the ROTC National Scholarship (a four-year scholarship) at a participating school. Applications open June 12 of every year for rising seniors. To get started on your scholarship application, create an account on My Go Army as the first step.

Eligibility/Requirements

  • Be a United States citizen
  • Currently in or be eligible for enlistment into the Army National Guard or Army Reserve
  • Must not reach 31st birthday by Dec. 31 of the year in which they will graduate from college and receive their commission
  • Initiate internet application between June 12 and Jan. 10
  • Submit transcript covering at least six semesters (3 years) of high school
  • Submit ACT/SAT scores
  • Submit results of physical fitness assessment
  • Conduct an in-person interview with a professor of military science
  • Ability to pass the Army physical fitness test within first semester
  • Meet Army regulation 600-9, height and weight standards

The Dedicated National Guard Scholarship program is designed for students/cadets with maximum three years remaining on their undergraduate or graduate degree and are interested in obtaining a commission in the United States Army National Guard (ARNG) or Army Reserve by allowing them to receive an early guarantee for such an assignment.
