Spartan Family Conversations
As your student prepares for their first semester at UTampa, we invite you to join us for Spartan Family Conversations, a series of summer webinars created especially for families of new students. Learn about campus resources, connect with staff and gain valuable tips to support your Spartan during this exciting transition.
We are excited to partner with you throughout your student's first year and beyond. Register for each session through the Spartan Family Portal, and join us as we celebrate the beginning of your family's Spartan journey.
Spartan Pride starts at home—and we're excited to welcome you to the UTampa community!
Can't attend a session live? No problem! Each webinar will be recorded and posted within two weeks of the session date so you can watch at a time that works best for your family.
Spartan Family Conversations are approximately one hour, and are held on Wednesdays throughout the month of July at 3 p.m. EDT.
July 8 | Academic Resources to Help Your Spartan Thrive
Join representatives from Academic Affairs as they provide a comprehensive overview of the initiatives designed to foster academic success and support student achievement at the University of Tampa.
July 15 | Navigating Financial Services at UTampa
Join representatives from the Bursar’s Office and Financial Aid as they guide you and your family through UTampa’s tuition billing process, define key financial aid terminology, and review payment deadlines and options. Empower your Spartan with the knowledge to navigate their financial journey at UTampa!
July 22 | Proactively Supporting Health and Wellness for Our Spartans
Join representatives from the Dickey Health and Wellness Center as they discuss UTampa’s health insurance requirements, available medical and counseling services, and after-hours care options. Learn about the wellness programs designed to support your Spartan’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being, as well as campus recreation opportunities that promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
July 29 | Championing Safety and Hurricane Preparedness
Join representatives from Campus Safety, Housing and Residence Life, and the Dean of Students Office as they discuss UTampa’s comprehensive safety measures for the UTampa campus, as well as hurricane preparedness plans. Learn how we keep our Spartan community safe and ready for any situation, ensuring peace of mind for both students and their families.
