Helpful Tips
- Familiarize yourself with the UTampa Campus. The interactive map can be found here. Visit campus before classes begin to locate your classrooms and key amenities.
- Set up your login information for your student email and the MyUTampa dashboard (Okta). Important information about registration, billing, classroom access, parking and university updates will be sent to your student email.
- Register for parking through the ARMS Parking Chiclet in MyUTampa (Okta). Vehicles parked on campus must be registered to avoid citations. Commuter students will have access to the Grand Center Parking Garage using their Spartan ID. Students with disabled veteran plates or disability permits may park in any designated accessible spaces.
- Spartan IDs can be picked up prior to classes starting. A photo must be submitted prior to pick-up. Students will receive an email about pick-up days/times for the ID Center (Vaughn Center, room 235A). MBA students will pick up their ID card in the Graduate Business Office in Sykes COB.
- View the Academic Calendar for registration dates, university holidays, and other deadlines.
- Submit Accommodation Requests (if needed). Requests may take several weeks to process and approve, it is advised that requests are submitted as soon as possible.
- Visit the Veterans Lounge located in Grand Center, room 159. Students identified in Workday as military or veteran, or who have provided VA documentation (GI Bill use, DD-214, current orders, etc.), should have access by the first day of classes. If you do not have access, please email Veterans@ut.edu.
- UTampa undergraduate and graduate students, both part-time or full-time, receive a free annual membership to use the Fitness and Recreation Center.
