At UTampa, we are proud to support a growing and vibrant community of military and veteran students. Since 2008, our military-affiliated student population has grown from just 36 students to more than 400, representing all four colleges and a wide range of academic programs. Each student brings unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths that enrich our campus community.
UTampa is dedicated to supporting veterans, active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and military-affiliated family members throughout their educational journey. Whether you are a prospective student exploring your options, a newly admitted Spartan, or preparing for graduation, we are here to help you navigate VA educational benefits, connect with campus resources, build community, and achieve your academic and personal goals.

The University of Tampa is proud to be consistently recognized as a Military Friendly® School. and has been named among the "Best Colleges for Veterans" by U.S. News and World Report. Through participation in programs such as the GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon Program, UTampa remains committed to making higher education accessible for those who have served.
We understand the significant investment military and veteran students make in their education and future. Our goal is to help you maximize your benefits, overcome challenges, and find a sense of belonging both inside and outside the classroom. Through dedicated support services, programming, and advocacy, UTampa is committed to helping you succeed from admission through graduation.
To our current, future, and prospective military-connected students — and to the families who support them — thank you for your service and sacrifice. We are honored to be part of your journey and look forward to welcoming you to the Spartan community.
