This year, we’re shifting from a breakfast format—join us for an inspiring afternoon honoring 250 years of Adam Smith’s timeless ideas, with distinguished speakers and lunch served.
We’ll explore how Smith’s insights into human behavior, morality, and markets laid the groundwork for modern economics and why his thinking remains powerfully relevant in today’s policy debates.
Featuring Peter Boettke (George Mason University) and Abigail R. Hall (University of Tampa), this program bridges philosophy, economics, and public policy in a dynamic conversation designed for students, scholars, and civic leaders.
As a special bonus, the first 100 attendees will receive complimentary copies of The Wealth of Nations and Hall’s Austrian Economics: An Introduction. Both speakers will also be available for book signings.

The Adam Smith Society is a faculty-mentored, Sykes College of Business honors society for students of economics and economic policy. Students demonstrating outstanding interest and competence in the economic way of thinking are nominated by faculty for membership in the society.
The society exposes students to what economists do in the real world, introducing them to different points of view through enriched interaction with professional economists and community leaders who share an interest in real-world economics.
