The Department of Political Science and International Studies is home to the Nu Upsilon chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honors society. Pi Sigma Alpha membership provides a platform to recognize outstanding students, leadership opportunities, access to competitive scholarships and an annual student research conference.
To join Pi Sigma Alpha, students do not necessarily have to be political science or international studies majors, but they must have:
- completed at least 10 credit hours in political science, including at least one course at the 300 level or higher
- at least a 3.5 GPA in political science; and
- at least a 3.5 overall GPA.
