Academic coaching is a program offered by the office of Student Accessibility and Academic Support in the Academic Success Center. The program matches undergraduate students with a trained academic coach who will meet with the student and assist them in their quest to be successful students. Academic coaches are committed to providing outstanding service to our students by utilizing coaching strategies that facilitate the development of each student served. 

Coaching focuses on personal development, time management, goal setting, motivation, study skills, resource connection and campus engagement. Understanding that each student is unique, the role of the coach is to guide the student in the discovery process and help the student reach his or her full potential.

We offer two (2) types of academic coaching options:

Appointment Sessions: Sign-in to Navigate to schedule your one-on-one appointment. Please follow the instructions below for scheduling your meeting.

  1. Click on the "Get Assistance" tab.
  2. Select “Academic Success Services” as your Type.
  3. Select "Academic Coaching" as your Service.
  4. Select "Pick a Date".

Drop-in sessions: These 30-minute sessions are designed for students to receive immediate assistance during any of the drop-in hours listed. Students should prepare for their drop-in session by identifying an area to work on and be ready to discuss strategies with an academic coach. (Please note that you could be working with a different academic coach each time you utilize drop-in coaching.) Sign-in to Navigate to view the drop-in coaching schedule or see below.

Spring 2023 Drop-in Session Hours:

Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Thursday: 12 – 2 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

(Drop-in sessions are held in person at the Academic Success Center, Second Floor of the Technology Building.)
