The Family Association Board (FAB) is a dedicated group of parents from around the world who are passionate about supporting the University of Tampa and enriching the student experience. FAB members help foster a culture of philanthropy among UTampa families by encouraging parents and families to engage in meaningful ways that directly support students and the University. Through advocacy, connection, and philanthropic involvement, the Board helps families become an integral part of the UTampa community while creating opportunities that contribute to student success and the overall campus experience.
FAB meets four times a year, at the start and conclusion of each semester, and during our signature fall weekend. Meetings are offered both in person and via Zoom, making participation easy for families no matter where they live.
How We Support UTampa
FAB members serve as ambassadors both on campus and in their home communities by:
- Welcoming and supporting prospective and incoming families during university events
- Promoting university resources to help families stay informed and connected
- Encourages philanthropic engagement among UTampa families to directly support programs, opportunities, and resources that enhance the student experience.
- Supporting student success by increasing internship and career opportunities
- Enhancing school spirit through special events and programs
- Strengthening family engagement across the UTampa community
FAB members also gain first-hand insight into the university through presentations and tours led by faculty, department chairs, and staff. These sessions offer an inside look at academic programs, student resources, new campus buildings and emerging initiatives.
Exclusive Opportunities
In addition to making a meaningful impact, FAB members are invited to attend exclusive UTampa leadership workshops and annual celebratory events; unique opportunities to connect, learn, and engage more deeply with the Spartan community and Tampa Bay leaders.
