The UTampa Center for Mathematics provides peer tutoring for 100 and 200-level math, computer science, and data science courses. Our tutors can help you to better understand course material, improve study skills and improve note-taking techniques.

SPRING 2026 Walk-In Hours (no appointment necessary)

MAT 160 and MAT 170:

• Monday abd Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

One-on-one appointments for MAT 160 and MAT 170 can also be made in Navigate.

MAT 225:

• Monday and Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
• Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
• Friday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

One-on-one appointments for MAT 225 can also be made in Navigate.

Tutoring for the courses listed below is available by appointment only:

MAT 155, MAT 201, MAT 260, MAT 261, MAT 271, MAT 272

CSC 101, CSC 102 and CSC 201

To book a one-on-one appointment:

• Open Navigate and select Appointments -> Get Assistance (top right corner)
• Select Center for Mathematics. You can then choose the tutor, date and time for your appointment.

One-on-one appointments are limited, must be scheduled 24 hours in advance, and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you no show two scheduled appointments within two weeks, your appointment booking privileges will be revoked for two weeks, but you can still attend drop-in hours. If you are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, you will be considered a no show. If you cancel an appointment within one hour of the appointment start time, you will be considered a no show.
