The UTampa Center for Mathematics provides peer tutoring for 100- and 200-level math, computer science and data science courses. Our tutors can help you to better understand course material, improve study skills and improve note-taking techniques.

The Math Center will open for tutoring on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

DROP-IN HOURS (No appointment necessary)

MAT 160 and MAT 170

Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Friday: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

MAT 225

Monday and Wednesday: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 2 - 6 p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 - 6 p.m.

Friday: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

One-on-one appointments are available for the following courses:

MAT 155, MAT 160, MAT 170, MAT 201, MAT 225, MAT 260, MAT 261, MAT 271, MAT 272

CSC 101, CSC 102, CSC 201

DSC 101, DSC 201

To book a one-on-one appointment:

• Open Navigate and select Appointments -> Get Assistance 
• Select Center for Mathematics and click on your math, computer science, or data science course. You can then choose the tutor, date and time for your appointment.

One-on-one appointments are limited, must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Appointments will be held in the Math Center (MKE 118), or in the Library, Room 222. Please refer to your booking confirmation email for the location of your appointment. 

If you no-show two scheduled appointments within two weeks, your appointment booking privileges will be revoked for two weeks, but you can still attend drop-in hours. If you are more than 15 minutes late to an appointment, you will be considered a no-show.
