The mathematics major focuses on the most significant branches of mathematics, including real analysis, abstract algebra and finite mathematics, and provides a program that gives students a balanced view of pure and applied aspects of modern mathematics.
Requirements for Mathematics Major
Twenty semester credit hours is required in mathematics courses numbered 260 or above.
Students who major in mathematics may use appropriate mathematics courses required in the major to satisfy the requirements of the general curriculum distribution.
