The University of Tampa’s Scarfone/Hartley Gallery invites students, alumni and community members to join the Friends of the Gallery. Member support helps us develop special events and exhibitions for the UTampa and Tampa community and supports valuable scholarships for outstanding art students.
All Friends of the Gallery members receive invitations to lectures, special receptions and events hosted by the gallery, including opportunities to meet visiting artists and attend special exhibition previews.
The University community and Tampa Bay art enthusiasts are grateful for the support and generosity provided by Friends of the Gallery donors.
Every year, the gallery aims to be an important contributor to the Tampa Bay arts scene with the very best exhibits. We also continue to strengthen our relationships with neighboring cultural institutions and community arts partners, including the Tampa Museum of Art, the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, and Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, to name a few; where UTampa students gain both access and experience.
Much of what we do together in the college and in the galleries for the UTampa and Tampa communities happens because of support from our friends on campus and beyond.
An Opportunity to Support
Our 2026 show will continue to connect our students with globally and nationally renowned artists. Featuring Ya La`Ford, this year's show is a one-of-a-kind exhibition by an internationally distinguished artist, whose work transforms both the walls and spaces across the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
Mounting such an exhibition is a significant undertaking for the galleries and funding is always a challenge. To take full advantage of this incredible opportunity to host La`Ford for our communities, we need your assistance. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to support the exhibition and the creation of an Exhibition Catalogue to capture this unique experience for UTampa and for future contemporary art research. Donations of all amounts are welcome!
