University of Tampa Again Named a Military Friendly School

UTampa was also named a Military Spouse Friendly School.

As a Military Friendly School, UTampa will be included in a special feature listing in G.I. JOBS Magazine.

University of Tampa has been named by G.I. JOBS Magazine as a 2026-2027 Military Friendly School and was ranked in the gold category of universities.

The Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to the top colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools in the country that maximize efforts in creating sustainable and meaningful education paths for the military community.

UTampa was also named a Military Spouse Friendly School.

“As a veteran and someone who now works to support military-connected students throughout their academic journey, I understand how important it is to find an institution that values and supports service members, veterans and their families,” said Brigette Shipley, coordinator of veteran student services at UTampa.

“UTampa’s commitment to supporting military and veteran students helps create an environment where they can successfully transition, thrive academically and focus on achieving their educational and professional goals,” she added.

The Military Friendly ratings are determined through the evaluation of public and proprietary data gathered through the annual Military Friendly survey process.
