On Oct. 13, the University of Tampa TECO Energy Center for Leadership in the Sykes College of Business will host Paul Shoukry, CEO and board member of Raymond James Financial Inc. He will speak about “The Power of Personal” from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Crescent Club on the ninth floor of the Vaughn Center. The event is free and open to the public with registration.

Shoukry has 16 years of leadership experience at Raymond James, having served as chief financial officer, president and now CEO. He began his career as a commercial banker and worked as a financial services consultant before joining Raymond James as assistant to the chairman and then head of investor relations. Shoukry earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accountancy at the University of Georgia and an MBA at Columbia University.

“Our Leadership Speaker Series brings C-suite executives to the UTampa community for candid conversations about their development as leaders,” said Bella Galperin, senior associate director of the TECO Energy Center for Leadership. “We are thrilled to welcome Paul Shoukry to campus as our fall speaker.”

Previous series speakers have included Stephanie Conners, president and CEO of BayCare Health Systems; Roger Germann, president and CEO of The Florida Aquarium; and Rick Thomas ’72, founder and chairman emeritus of Thomas Financial.
