Career Specialties

Louis Zmich is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Tampa. Louis joined the university in 2022. 

Zmichs' research interests comprise three broad categories (1) Social Media & the Influencer–Sponsor Selling Relationship, (2) Salesperson Influence Tactics and the Behavioral Change Associated with Digital Media and (3) the Personal Selling and the Salesperson–Customer Dyadic Relationship.

Zmichs' research is published in Industrial Marketing Management, The Journal of Business Research, The Journal of Consumer Behaviour, The Journal of Macromarketing, The Journal of Marketing Education and The Journal of Selling. Louis also routinely volunteers as a guest editor for the American Marketing Association, the National Conference in Sales Management and the Society for Marketing Advances. Additionally, Louis' collaborative research has been recognized as the best paper by The American Marketing Association: Marketing for Higher Education's special interest group.

Zmich prioritizes technology and artificial intelligence in the sales classroom and was recognized along with Stacey Schetzsle for having the Best Teaching Application for sales classes at the National Conference in Sales Management. As the Sales Readiness Coach for the Southard Institute for Sales Excellence, Zmich has worked with sales students to compete on the national level at sales competitions across the country. 

Lastly, Zmich is a Brother of Delta Sigma Pi (Northern Illinois University: Eta Mu Chapter) and currently serves as the Chapter Advisor for the Epsilon Rho Chapter here at UTampa.
