Dr. Yuen specializes in adult clinical psychology with a focus on cognitive behavioral treatments for anxiety, mood, and posttraumatic stress disorders.
Dr. Yuen conducts clinical research on mental health, professional help-seeking, acceptance and mindfulness-based interventions, and digital mental health interventions. In particular, she is interested in how innovative methods and modern technology can be utilized to promote mental health and reduce barriers to treatment. Her recent research has explored the effects of Internet use on mental health and help-seeking attitudes. She has also conducted research on the delivery of mental health interventions through videoconferencing programs, virtual reality environments and self-help websites.
Dr. Yuen’s research has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences including those of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA).
